A bad news can be called as a communication obstacle; in this case a PR staff communication skill is tried in which a bad news deliverable and acceptable and the company still have a good relationship with the bad news receiver. Product Bad News; Product bad news involves increasing price, product withdrawing, expired product, broken product. In delivering increasing price and broken product to the customer it is better for us to use indirect approach using neutral statement, supporting by logic reason, then deliver the bad news, and the closing is positive and friendly statement. If it is about increasing price because of company policy we can use direct approach.

Cooperation rejection; It is probable for us meet so who willing to ask some secret question or participate in a certain program, in another way we can not fulfill his request. We can use both direct and indirect approach. For example a promotion staff is invited by a certain company in its marketing research of its certain product. And your company policy does not allow you to join in.

Invitation Rejection; If we should say “no” to our business relation invitation, we can try organizational approach both direct and indirect approach (it depends on how is your relationship).

For example a marketing association would like to rent your company’s hall, at the same time your company has to hold a routine internal meeting in the hall, if you do not know well the association director, it is better for you to use indirect organizational approach, and if you know him well, or he is your close friend you can try the direct organizational approach. For note is you choose the approach based on the condition you face. The main factor influencing your successful communication strategy is developing and routine communication skill training.
