Christmas shopping year-round

August 30th, 2010

Christmas shopping year round ImageWhen it comes to seasonal stuff, I get whatever I can at clearance after the certain season has ended. That especially goes for Christmas presents and decorations.

I used to brave the crowds on December 26, just to get a few extra deals. A few years ago I decided to stay in my new pajamas that my husband gave me and go clearance shopping online with wild blue internet direct tv that I had found through wildblue pricing. Afterward, I really regretted not doing it before that.

Although that’s a long time away, I also took advantage of some out-of-season sales this summer to buy some gifts for this Christmas. I bought a couple of sweaters for my mom and a tent for my husband.

For generic items that those that don’t really change throughout the years, not by much anyway, I always try to get them off-season and buy things like newly released CDs, books and movies closer to the actual holiday. It never fails that my nephew will ask for a new video game so I always put off buying his gift until later.

I think I got some even better deals for this holiday than last year!
