On Tuesday July 22, 2008 the City of Dallas, Dallas ISD, more than 60 arts,
cultural and community-based organizations and Big Thought
gathered at the South Dallas Cultural Center to celebrate the accomplishments of
the Thriving Minds (formerly Dallas Arts Learning Initiative),
a city-wide partnership committed to developing successful children, strong
families and vibrant communities through creative learning, and
arts and cultural experiences.
